Welcome to my website. I'm Sam, a big photography and camera fan, and this is my space to share some of my work and what I've learned.

I love the technical detail of cameras, film and digital, and I love hiking and travelling. So here you'll find some of my favourite photos, guides on which cameras to buy, and write-ups of the travel photography I've done. A good place to lay my thoughts out for others to read.

A bit about me

I'm not a professional photographer. I'm a digital marketer for an events company, a job I came to via sound engineering after studying Physics at Durham. A fairly random route, I know.

I'm a Christian, and a lot of what gets me outdoors is the chance to explore and photograph God's creation. Cameras and photography were a hobby for a long time, but somewhere after lockdown that tipped over into something I now rarely stop thinking about.

Guides

Alongside the prints, I write guides on the site: camera buying advice and photography guides to the places I shoot. They're where I put down what I've worked out from actually using the gear and being on location, rather than reading spec sheets.

About the prints

Every print is produced by Prodigi, a professional print lab, on archival paper with pigment inks. Everything here was shot on location by me.
