Manhattan Bridge in Snow, DUMBO

The red brick buildings framing this view were paper box factories. Robert Gair moved his works to the Brooklyn waterfront in 1888 and came to own so much of it that the neighbourhood was called Gairville long before anyone shortened it to DUMBO. Snow was still banked along the kerbs when I photographed this, which kept the crowds off a street that usually has plenty. The Empire State Building sits in the arch of the bridge tower.

A premium photographic paper with a satin lustre finish, preferred by professional photographers. The subtle pearl-like texture supports deeper colour saturation than matte papers, producing rich, vibrant colours and strikingly intense blacks.

Paper Type: Lustre Photo Paper (archival, professional-quality)
Finish: Satin lustre

FAQs

What will I receive?

An unframed photographic print of the image shown on this page, professionally produced on archival lustre photo paper. Frames and mounts shown in the room mock-ups are for styling inspiration and are not included.

Which size should I choose?

Prints are available from 4 × 6" up to 24 × 36". Smaller sizes work well on shelves and smaller walls, while the larger sizes are better suited to spaces above sofas, beds and larger furniture.

How will my print arrive?

Your print is carefully rolled and sent in sturdy cylindrical packaging to help protect it from folds and creases during delivery. It may retain a gentle curl when first unpacked, but this will relax naturally over time. Laying it flat under a clean, light weight for a short period can help speed this up before framing.

What if there is a problem with my order?

If your print arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, email contact@samuel-cooper.com with your order number and photographs of the print and packaging and I’ll get it sorted.
